Notify

My dearest friend died and his brother notified people through a facebook post. I found out that my youngest daughter was pregnant from an accident police report. Until this afternoon I thought these were the worst notifications I would ever see. then I got this email.

i just thought i would tell you that my mother passed away friday and i didn’t know it until Monday morning when i got to work and read it on the internet.  My sister did not bother to let me know.  My sister is also having her cremated and no services!

All I have seen in this world could not help me come up with a way to deal with this.  I can’t be with my friend to give her the silent hug that is the only adequate help I can imagine.
