I deleted Swine Flu II. That was a post written with emotion not any base in fact. My friend will probably become part of the H1N1 statistic. The truth is he had a heart problem that could have taken him with the next cough, sneeze or  handful of stairs.

Knowing this takes me rationally back to this is a truly untested untrustworthy vaccine.  For whatever my opinion is worth I won’t take the shot.

We were working on a package to present for sale. I lost my graphics man. He was supposed to come up with some prophenol dart holders and a Neverland case. Once we had the graphics ready I was going to write a Billy Mays sales pitch. I am artistically challenged and far too introverted for paid commercial advertising so I will post what I have so far.  I am forced to solicit someone to help me complete the project before I can begin approaching someone to manufacture the finished product.Oops, I almost forgot the prescription pad scorecards.

My consolation is we didn’t have any unfinished business. My true sadness is we don’t have any more tomorrows.

Fear Uncertainty and Doubt,commonly known as FUD. FUD is a marketing tool to scare people into doing or buying something they probably don’t really need.

I don’t know why FUD is being used to peddle the h1n1 vaccine. The first part of this tactic was to rename this strain of the flu virus from ‘Swine Flu’  into a more menacing “H1N1 virus.” Renaming this flu was necessary becuse the swine flu of the 70’s is still remembered as not much worse than the regular flu that even has a season named for it! The next layer of FUD is to say that the ‘H1N1 virus’ will create a ‘Pandemic’ flu. By replacing the common word ‘widespread’ with the scary less well known Pandemic more FUD is created. The H1N1 virus will be somewhat easier to spread because it is a new strain of flu virus. The reason we have flu season every year is that the flu virus mutates into new forms every time we pass it around.

I keep wondering why so much FUD is being spread for this flu virus and the vaccine. I have an unconfirmed suspicion that I may work on a bit.

Anyone that wants to test the new HIV vaccine roll up your sleeve.

The only way to deal with this assertion is to offer no defense. Make the accuser prove that you are a racist.

Reading through the uninformed comments on some post I saw a woman say companies don’t pay taxes. As a small business owner I was aware that this common misconception is total bullshit. This statement is commonly put forward to justify taking money from people that work for it and give it to people that don’t have money.  I went looking for the actual numbers. According to the Joint Committee on Taxation, between employment taxes and corporate income tax companies contribute 50% of the annual revenue of the United States.

I was giving Barney Frank credit for keeping his mouth shut. I was wrong again. Remember that Barney was screaming about the sub-prime loans that created the mortgage crisis.  This article talks about another government program for insuring mortgages that is in financial danger. This article is full of warning signs that the FHA is going to need a bailout because it is insuring mortgages  of people that can’t afford the homes that they are able to get financing to buy.  This time Barney doesn’t claim the company is basically sound he says it’s good to make bad loans.

Barney Frank, the Massachusetts Democrat who is chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, said in an interview that the defaults were, in essence, worth it.“I don’t think it’s a bad thing that the bad loans occurred,” he said. “It was an effort to keep prices from falling too fast. That’s a policy.”

This man is making financial decisions for all of us.      “I don’t think it’s a bad thing that the bad loans occurred.”
